A Williamsburg steakhouse brings back the long dinner
Booth’s Extra Fine is serving steakhouse classics at 62 South 2nd Street, with chilled seafood, steaks and a room inspired by the chef’s grandfather.
A new Williamsburg dinner address is built around the pleasure of staying awhile. Booth’s Extra Fine is serving at 62 South 2nd Street, where chef Nick Pfannerstill brings his take on the classic American steakhouse to a room inspired by family photographs of his grandfather, Booth.

The menu moves from chilled seafood to steaks and chops. Its current list includes oysters, shrimp cocktail, a 14 ounce New York strip, a 28 ounce bone in ribeye for two and a horseradish cheddar burger. It is a menu that makes room for a full celebration or a more casual burger stop.
The family story gives the restaurant a personal thread without turning dinner into a history lesson. Booth was a Milwaukee salesman who loved steakhouse suppers and martinis, according to the restaurant’s account of its inspiration. The result is a classic format with a distinctly local address.
Dinner is listed Tuesday through Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m. at 62 South 2nd Street. Check the current menu and reserve through the restaurant’s official booking page. Its hours page marks Martini Hour as coming soon, so check before planning around it.
