Dobbin Street gets a marathon weekend clubhouse

A sunset run, a Saturday shakeout and a Sunday flag making stop give North Brooklyn several ways into race weekend.

Club CELSIUS is scheduled at 64 Dobbin St. for marathon weekend, with a Friday sunset run, Saturday shakeout and Sunday race day gathering. The brand’s official calendar spans Oct. 30 through Nov. 2; the Friday through Sunday picks offer the clearest plan for runners and their cheering crews.

Friday, Oct. 30, starts with the SIDEQUEST Sunset Run at 6 p.m. The announced route accompaniment is a mobile DJ pedicab. Saturday’s shakeout begins at 10 a.m. on Oct. 31. Both are listed for ages 18 and older. These are organizer announcements, not accounts of runs we have attended.

Sunday, Nov. 1, shifts toward the supporters. Race Day with Club CELSIUS runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with custom cheer flag making, a DJ, product sampling and giveaways. That session is also 18 and older. Think of Dobbin Street as a possible stop in your plan, not a promise of a view of the course.

The evening has a separate option: Club CELSIUS Afters, from 8 to 10 p.m. Sunday, is restricted to ages 21 and older. It should not be confused with the daytime gathering. The organizer supplies separate RSVP links for its sessions, so choose the actual event you want rather than treating the whole weekend as one reservation.

Our pick for a cheering crew is the Sunday daytime session, provided its reservation terms work for your group. Make the flag, then keep the spectator plan simple. Agree on where you will stand and what the runner should look for before race morning. A big readable message will be more useful than a complicated handoff.

The official Race Day RSVP link resolves to a Rumor page, but its registration controls and remaining availability could not be verified at publication. Admission is not guaranteed, and we are not listing an unverified price. Follow the organizer’s current links below before leaving. The age rules also make this a different proposition from a family Halloween outing.

This is brand hosted programming. The appeal is the specific schedule, not an obligation to fill every hour: pick one session and leave the rest of the weekend some breathing room.
