Williamsburg / Confirmed opening
Lorimer Street went a little bit country
Ferguson’s Country is now serving cornbread, catfish and shrimp and grits in Williamsburg.
Williamsburg has a new answer for the night when everyone wants comfort food and nobody wants to overthink dinner. Ferguson’s Country is open at 732 Lorimer Street, where the restaurant describes itself as a small Southern joint with recipes older than the room.

The menu direction is clear and pleasantly specific. Ferguson’s own site names cast iron cornbread, blackened or cornmeal fried catfish, shrimp and grits, hot chicken biscuits and peach cobbler. Cocktails, draft beer and a moonshine list round out the plan.
The restaurant comes from the Brooklyn team behind Baba and Baba Cool. Eater reported the Sept. 12 debut, while Ferguson’s current visit page confirms dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 10:30 p.m.
Brunch is not here yet. The restaurant labels it as coming soon, so do not build a Saturday morning around the idea until the official site posts a start date. Dinner is the confirmed move.
Lorimer makes the logistics easy. The L train at Lorimer Street and the G train at Metropolitan Avenue are both nearby, and the restaurant says it welcomes walk ins in addition to Resy bookings.
Go for the food that sounds like the place knows exactly what it wants to be. Then check the current menu, hours and reservation availability before leaving, because opening period details can shift.
