Harlem Shake’s next Brooklyn stop moves to Grand Street
The burger and shake brand has a Williamsburg address and a winter opening target. Save this one for later.
Harlem Shake’s planned Brooklyn franchise has a new address: 153 Grand St., between Bedford Avenue and Berry Street in Williamsburg. An Oct. 8 announcement in the New York Real Estate Journal puts the opening target in winter 2026 to 2027. This is an announced restaurant, with no confirmed opening day yet.

The change matters if you saved the earlier Greenpoint plan. The Grand Street project replaces the proposed location at 698 Manhattan Ave. Franchisee Cody Spearman has signed the lease, according to the announcement, which also includes a statement from Harlem Shake founder and CEO Jelena Pasic.
The reported plan is for a 1,759 square foot restaurant with space for 32 seats, plus pickup and delivery operations. Final seating and service arrangements remain subject to the completed fit out. For now, those numbers describe the plan rather than a room ready to receive you.
Harlem Shake’s own website presents the brand around smash burgers and milkshakes, with its existing Harlem and Brooklyn shops. Its Williamsburg ordering page carries the Grand Street address but currently says it is not accepting online orders. That listing does not establish that the new restaurant is open.
Put it in the later column of the group chat. The useful news is a changed neighborhood and a specific block, not a lunch reservation for this weekend. When an opening day and service hours are confirmed, that will be the moment to turn the saved address into an actual plan.
For a burger now, our existing Grand Street coverage includes Gotham Burger Social Club. For a future Harlem Shake visit, follow the brand’s official updates. There is plenty happening on the block without asking a construction timetable to become dinner.
