Williamsburg / Confirmed opening
Grand Street has its burger plan
Gotham Burger Social Club now confirms its Williamsburg restaurant is open, with late hours, a full bar and walk ins only.
Gotham Burger Social Club is now open at 216 Grand St. in Williamsburg. The restaurant confirms the change on its official location page, turning what was an opening watch into an actual dinner option across from Williamsburg Cinemas near Grand and Driggs.

The setup is refreshingly uncomplicated. The Williamsburg location serves the same menu as the Essex Street restaurant and adds a full liquor bar. It does not take reservations. Walk ins are the entire system, which makes this a good plan for people who would rather meet on the block than coordinate a booking portal.
The official hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. That late close gives Grand Street another answer for the hour when dinner becomes an afterthought and then, suddenly, the main question.
The obvious pairing is a movie across the street. The less obvious pairing is no pairing at all. Go because someone wants a burger and someone else wants a drink, then decide what the rest of the night is doing once everyone has eaten.
Greenpointers reported that the permanent Brooklyn location opened Sept. 23 after the brand ended its earlier Greenpoint residency. The official location page now independently confirms that the doors are open.
One practical note: Walk ins only can mean a wait at busy times. Check the restaurant's page before making a special trip, but the status question is settled. This one has moved from soon to now.
